Grassfed and Grass Finished Half Beef – Processing Date August 29, 2024 – $500 Deposit

Nonsense Farm is offering 4 halves of beef for sale.  These heifers have been completely grassfed and grass finished..  They have received no vaccines or antibiotics since arriving at Nonsense Farm.  

We have been raising these girls for about a year and a half, and they were about 6 months old when they got to us.  We are offering them at just $4.50/pound hanging weight (You will pay the processing cost directly to the processor) which is well under the price that I found anywhere else.  I’m doing this because it’s our first time raising beef and it will be our first time going through having them processed.  Here is the timeline as I currently understand it.

ASAP:  (First come first served) Reserve your half by applying a $500 deposit here.  This deposit is non refundable and will apply toward your $4.50/pound cost that you will pay to me.  The cost of the processing is paid directly to the processor.

Before Processing Date: You will need to decide on and complete your cut sheet for the processor.

Processing Date: We have a processing date set for August 29 at Bluebonnet Meat Company.  That day or the next day I will be able to tell you what the hanging weight of your half is.  At that time, I will collect payment for the amount owed in excess of the $500 deposit. You will be paying the processor directly for processing your beef.  The costs are listed on the cut sheet linked above.

10-14 Days After Processing Date: You will need to arrange to go to the processor and pick up your beef.  Please be sure you have enough freezer space ready and available for when you get home. A half a beef I’m told will require about 20 cubic feet of freezer space.  The more space you have, the easier it will be to organize.
